Hello, and thank you for stopping by!

I am a freelance illustrator and surface pattern designer from England. I’m very passionate about design, especially colour, pattern and experimenting with different media & new techniques.

I like to incorporate elements within my work, of nature, animals, people, and everyday objects, both as stand-alone drawings and also in patterns. My style is whimsical, colourful, fun and painterly, and I tend to work traditionally, developing and finishing my designs on my computer.

I enjoy the entire design process, from initial inspiration research, creating concepts and sketches, testing different colour and media combinations, through to creating finished compositions from my ideas.

Where do I get my inspiration from? Well, I spend time observing what is around me, such as in nature, looking through magazines, and at various sources on the internet.

My Design Journey in a Nutshell.

Since graduating with a BA(Hons) degree in Surface Pattern at The University of Huddersfield, I have worked as a surface pattern designer in a design studio and have undertaken a lot of freelance work. I also have an MA in Textiles, which I took at Manchester Metropolitan University.

My Work.

My pattern and illustration work has appeared on children’s books, in magazines, on bedding, mugs, apparel, stationery, gift items and more.
